Brand review · #4 on our India ranking

Yūzen Matcha

Yūzen discloses more about what is in the tin than any other brand we have audited in India, and it is the only one publishing named-laboratory reports. It also has no customer reviews at all, which is why its score is led by our own tasting.

Pros

Cons

Our verdict

One published heavy-metal panel away from being the clear evidence leader in Indian matcha. Best value in the mid band on disclosure alone. Yūzen supplied its products to us free of charge, no money changed hands in either direction, and it saw no part of this page before publication.

Worth knowing

Search results for “Yūzen matcha” are muddled by three unrelated things: Marukyu Koyamaen’s Yugen matcha, Aiya’s Yuzan, and Miyazaki Yūzen, a Japanese textile-dyeing craft. If you are searching, add “India” to the query.

How this page was made. Prices and pack sizes were collected from the brand’s own site and Indian marketplaces and verified on 15 August 2026. Disclosure is scored only on what the brand publishes, not on what it tells us privately. Where a claim is the brand’s own and we could not verify it, the table says so. We hold no paid relationship with any brand on this site, and any free sample is stated on the entry itself. See our testing methodology and editorial policy.

Yūzen, or anyone else: if something here is wrong, tell us and we will correct it. If you publish a pack date or a heavy-metal panel, your disclosure score changes, and we would rather report that than not.
